The short version
This site collects almost nothing. A privacy-friendly analytics tool counts visits so I can see it is being read, but it sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. There are no forms. The only thing you can hand me directly is an email, and I treat it like a letter.
bloombase.studio is the marketing site for Bloom Base Studio (trading as Bloombase Studio), a one-person software workshop run by Bass Shaker in London, UK. This page describes what the site collects, which is very little. The long version follows, because being boring and precise is the point of a privacy policy.
The site sets no advertising cookies, uses no tracking pixels, runs no ad scripts, and does no cross-site fingerprinting. There are no user accounts and no forms on the site.
It does measure basic traffic so I can tell whether anyone is reading, which I describe in the next section. The other way to share information with me is to send an email.
The site uses Umami, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to count visits and page views. It records things like which pages were viewed, the site that referred you, a rough location based on your IP address, and the general type of device and browser.
This runs without cookies, and I only see the numbers in aggregate. The data is not tied to your name, and I make no attempt to identify individual visitors or to follow them across other sites.
If you send an email to [email protected], the message is received and stored by my email provider as part of normal business email infrastructure. I use the contents only to reply to you and to keep a record of the correspondence.
I don’t share it, sell it, or use it for marketing. If you ever want a thread deleted, just reply and ask.
The site is hosted on standard web infrastructure (currently Railway). Hosting providers may keep basic server logs, such as request times, IP addresses, and user agents, as part of operating the platform.
Beyond the aggregate analytics described above, I don’t query or use these server logs in any routine way.
The site is not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect any information from anyone via the site.
If I update this policy, the new version will live at this URL with an updated “last updated” date.
For any questions about this policy, email [email protected]. Bloom Base Studio, London, UK.
